I started the process of merging KDE into gentoo and its prolly still going (been about an hour) after getitng to work. Feel like I started the bootstrap over again
So after its installed I can just type startx at the root prompt and that will run it correct? I did set my default XSESSION to KDE (i read in another post that it needs to be KDE3.0 vs just KDE). So after ade has compiled and installed I should be able to use it correct? Thanks |

There was a thread on this recently, shouldn't be too hard to find. Depending on your processor, anything from 3 - 12 hours from memory. |

haha I was asking the same question during my install. From start (stage 3) to finishing KDE 3.0 it took roughly 8 hours on a 748 Mhz T-bird. |
