I've noticed a peculiar thing during the use of X.org (same in XFree86). The image on the screen seems to be 'waving' or 'gulfing' a little bit. (It's really hard to explain this, I'm not a native english writer)
It only happens during the use of X, not in a text console or in wxp.
the output of xvidtune:
Quote: | "1152x864" 108.00 1152 1216 1344 1600 864 865 868 900 +hsync +vsync

The monitor is a Samsung Syncmaster 753DFX, the videocard is a Radeon 9500pro
Under windows the resolution is 1152x864@72Hz |

Check the built-in control panel on your monitor. Some of them have an option to change the moire, which can get rid of the wavy effect. _________________ aaarggghhhh.

Also make sure that the monitor is clear of other magnetic devices (speakers, other monitors, etc.) _________________ "It's ok, they might have guns but we have flowers." - Perpetual Victim |
