I just copied a DVD to my HD like this

Code:

cp -r /mnt/cdrom /stash/temp

and now mplayer plays about one third of the movie, and then gives me scramble. I play it like this

Code:

mplayer -dvd 1 -dvd-device /stash/temp/cdrom

Anyone know what's wrong?

I don't believe you can simply copy a dvd like this. I use tccat from the transcode ebuild to copy DVDs. See their homepage for instructions (look at the very bottom of the page). mAx

Yeah, it crapped out. Eventually, I got it going with a few Windows tools from another machine. _________________ C is for Cookies!
