XINE devices won't change

I'm trying to watch a VCD, but my CD-ROM drive is /dev/cdroms/cdrom2, not /dev/cdrom. /dev/cdrom points to /dev/cdroms/cdrom0 which won't read the CD that I have in now.

So to fix this, I go into Xine's setup, then input tab. I changed VCD device to /dev/cdroms/cdrom2. I close it out, and try to play it. Nothing happens. I go back in to make sure it worked okay. It didn't, it went back to the /dev/cdrom which is what it was before I changed it. Why won't it change?

Try hitting enter or tab after you type the new text. Xine's config editor is rather annoying like that...
