That would be a pretty long process for simply needing to uninstall some programs. I personally do not ahve the answer accept that most of the stuff you would be able to uninstall should be obvious to some degree. |

I agree. If you need to start from scratch. Just use fdisk. Then delete and re-create your partitions. You won't be saving much time by un-installing programs as most of the time is used to actually compile those programs.
Plus, reformatting usually allows you to set things up better since you probably made some mistakes in the past. _________________ Stupidity, like hydrogen, is one of the basic building blocks of the Universe. |

depends on how you got started. did you do a stage 1,2 or 3 install ??
just fdisk is a little crude !!
you could create a empty partition and copy al the /usr/portage/distfiles contents to it ( or to another pc connected !)
saves quite a bit of downloading |
