|
|
I am trying to get the DynamicClocks option for the xorg radon driver working. However with the option set to "on" the laptop (D600) hangs upon changing vt (Ctrl+Alt+Fx) and a Hard Rrset is required.
Any Ideas?
Thanks.
The logs show nothing.
This is a description of the driver options http://freedesktop.org/~xorg/X11R6.8.0/doc/radeon.4.html |

yeah that usually happens if you use fglrx in combination with the radeon frame buffer ... switch to vesa or vesa-tng in the kernel and remove the radeon framebuffer driver. _________________ And in the end the Red Death held dominion over all. |

I am not using fglrx nor am I using the radeon framebuffer. I am using the vesafb-tng patch and the xorg "radeon" driver.
The hard lock only occurs when Option "DynamicClocks" "on" is set in the xorg.conf file.
Thanks |

Wierd it works fine with radeonfb but not vesafb or vesafb-tng. maybe because radeonfb is aware of the power management features of the card? |
