I'm trying to get 3d acceleration working on my PCI Voodoo3 2000. Having searched through past posts, I can see that this will be no picnic.
When I compiled my kernel the first time, I didn't bother to enable any of the AGPART settings (in MENUCONFIG) since I don't have an AGP card, or even an AGP port for that matter... but from reading some past posts, it seems that you have to select some of those options to get DRI working.
Is this right? Should I be enabling AGPART even though I have a PCI card? Or am I just out of luck when it comes to hardware acceleration? _________________ "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?"

I am happy to say that my hardware acceleration is now working...
It does seem that you have to enable AGPART, even if you have a PCI card... the option for 3dfx wasn't even available until I did so. _________________ "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?"
