So I got EverQuest running perfectly, except that it ignores my DXGrab=N setting in the winex config. I would really like to have my mouse useable in X after starting EverQuest. Is there any keyboard combination that will release the mouse?

I still haven't solved the mouse issue. When playing other games, can you release your mouse once a game has grabbed it? I'm having one other minor problem with EverQuest. Some characters used by the font in the chat window look like they've dropped a pixel or two. Makes it slightly less readable than in Windows. Anyone seen and fixed this?

Dont know how you would ungrab it, but what I do is I just run a second x windows session and then play the game in one, and if I need to use the computer while the game is on, just switch to the other one and there you go. Might not really be what your looking for though. |

Yep, I found that switching from Gnome to Fluxbox solved my problems. Just switching to another (virtual) desktop in fluxbox will give you a fresh new mouse pointer. Perfect, now I can sit LFG while working on the other desktop.
