|
|
hi guys..
i installed portage wine and it wend very well with gcc3.2..
i've a question about wine in general.. i've a (former) dual-boot system but i only used the gentoo on it, on the other hd there is a old win me install.
question: the fat32 parititon with the windows install is mounted as /mnt/fat (vfat) and i specified the c:\ (wine) as /mnt/fat, so i think wine should take that windows with all dll's (with ie and all) and use it...
does wine that? or is there a need to import something into the fake_registry/load some dll's?
i installed kazaa lite 2.0 successfully but same prob as mentioned in another thread, the debugger comes up. but that after the _entire_kazaa_gui_ came up.. so i don't think that ie-dlls is all kazaa needs to get started...
so how is it to let wine use a pre-installed windows setup & their dll's?
could i even import the "original" registry into wine with all regged components?
greetz & regards

www.winehq.com
You can use the dll's
Just change config in dlloverride
to
somedll.dll = builtin, native to
somedll.dll = native, builtin.
Native is for use the existing dll's builtin is to use wine dll's.
Check winehq for more info on dll's. _________________ The road to Perfection is too rocky ! Consider Linux as home delivery service. |
