1) How do you change the Eterm prompt?
I.e. change it from something like
Quote:
user@computername workingdir $
to whatever you want. I know its possible cause I've seen it on screenshots, but I can't figure out how to do it.

2) How do you get aliases to stick in Eterm?
Everytime I set up an alias (i.e. ls='ls --color' or xterm='xterm -fg white -bg black', etc) it is only for that terminal. I know that with xterm, it reads out of .bashrc, but Eterm doesn't seem to do so. Any Ideas?

Thanks :D

Haha. Nevermind  I just went to Eterm.org and found out that Eterm is a login shell, thus it uses .bash_profile instead of .bashrc. A simple ln -s .bashrc .bash_profile solved both my problems  I hope this helps someone else...

Because I had already written ~/.bashrc, so it seemed much easier to symlink it to ~/.bash_profile then to move everything to .bash_profile and symlink it to .bashrc
