I get this problem when I try and run any loki demos (including the loki_demo*x86.run file):
Code: |
[~]$ sh rt2-demo.run
Verifying archive integrity...OK
Uncompressing Railroad Tycoon II Demo...............................................................................................................................................
rt2-demo.run: ./update.sh: /bin/sh: bad interpreter: Permission denied
The program returned an error code (126)

I found this on Icculus.org:
Code: |
Q: I've just downloaded an installer, and when I run it it says "/bin/sh: bad interpreter: permission denied"
A: When you did the download, your downloading app "helpfully" saw some ascii text and munged your newlines for you. Except that means it's corrupted a load of data, too. You need to re-download the file, with a decent download utility (like lynx, wget, ftp, or downloader for x. NOT Netscape, IE, moz, konq, or any variants thereupon)

Problem is I've tried wget, ncftp, ftp. Same problem every time.
Anyone else get this or know why? |
