Ive just stumbled upon a supercar that is guaranteed to blow your mind.
may i introduce the swedish Koenigsegg CC8S / CCR:

silver front
engine
orange back

as the CCR is the more awesome one so i'll only state technical data of that:

Supercharged V8 4.7L,
806hp at 6900rpm
920Nm (WHOOHOO) at 5700rpm
Max rpm: 7600
6-speed gearbox (nothing special ;)

0-100 km/h in 3,2s (afaik 0-100km/h is the same as 0-60mph)
standing quartermile: 9seconds, end speed 235km/h (146mph)
braking distance 31m (100-0 km/h)
Fuel consumption: ~13-17 l/100km
Top speed: 395+ km/h (242+ mph)
(it is afaik the first production model car that did 400km/h)

Its made with carbonfibre/kevlar and metal "sandwich" foams.
Ground Clearance: 100mm (3.9 inch)
Weight 1180kg
Tyres:
Front: 255/35-19"
Rear: 335/30-20" (omg, 335s, I couldnt even afford those!)

This baby just _ROCKS_
amazing what they are pulling from a V8 with 4.7L.
makes the Bugatti Veyron V16 look like a Tank engine =)

i guess you could own every (untuned) Ferrari (goodbye Enzo), Porsche, Maserati, Bugatti (goodbye Veyron 16.4) out there on the streets.

anybody else sharing my obsession with supercars?
got nice pics/wallpapers and technical data?

/edit pic links fixed, sry^^
more pics at www.koenigsegg.com

Audi A6 is going to be nuts for the RS-6 using the lamborghini(SP) engine that V10 hehe. I dunno I think the Audis look better to me at least, the new design looks really slick.

The RS6 isnt exaclty a supercar, though the EV12 isnt either.
;)

im really curios how the new BMW V10 (for the M5) and the Audi V10 are going to compete =)

btw, i think the BMW Design suffered from Chris Bangle...
especially the Rear of the new 7xx is total crap.

Arguably Quattro - the lambos are 4wd now, and it's very possible they got that from Audi.

And yeah, the konigseggegg thing is real - anyone else watch Top Gear? They had the repeat of that episode the other night here. Awesome car.

yup, more than possible =)

though i maybe wrong, in terms of engine its more likely that Audi got knowledge from Lamborghini, especially the V10,
they're building this beats for PowerBoats since years now, arent they?

i know what you mean, i cant even afford a car on my own..
and as stated above i think i couldnt even afford the tyres and rims of that koenigsegg :?

huh? nitro funny car?
NOS is bad you know, kills the engine and stuff ;)
nah, dunno about NOS as its illegal to use in Germany.

ive once read that many untuned cars in the US use nitro/NOS to improve fuel efficiency, is that true?
i cant actually believe, simply from a technical point of view, a supercharger should be in any way outperform NOS (the two combined is another story of course ;) )

I put a V8 on my little red wagon once, but that was just to move it out of the garage. :) That thing would've flown like a bat out of hell if I had hooked a drivetrain up.

i saw a video about a gokart with something like 100HP some time ago, funny shit. I guess the guy driving it weight more than the engine and gokart itself =)

btw, ive got no clue about motorcycles, i know for sure that these beasts (160hp on that weight is insane) have a better acceleration than any car, but what about the top speed?

Well you can pick up a decent supercharged engine that is designed for a VW bug that will fit on gocart. Go fire that baby up lets see some ideas! Ohh let me show you a pulse detonation gocart!

http://www.aardvark.co.nz/pjet/ Crazy fucker!

http://www.aardvark.co.nz/pjet/gokart.htm And the gocart. Prod around that site pretty cool stuff I check it from time to time

Not pretending to be an expert but i'll spill what i do know. Motorcycles are absolutly insane which is why we like them. This is stricly dealing with most superbikes (GSXR1k, busa, ZX12R, and their ilk). Most bikes in this class are capable of about a ~190mph and low to mid 10s in the 1/4 mile stock. Further modifications really get things going :). 250mph isnt unheard of in bikes but it takes a good chunk of change (probably could be done for >$100k but still more than i have). The price:performance ratio of motorcycles is basically unmatched.
