After being subjected to Goatse many times by my cruel friends, Rotten.com doesn't seem all that bad.

But it's still Fucked Up Shit.

I can't get enough rotten.com.

I just found it a few days ago though. And so far I've stuck to rotten.com/library/.

Call it sick... but they have this... dead celebrity poll thing. You pick the top 10 famous (or not so famous) people that you think won't live through the next year. You get points if you are right. You have to pick folks that are ALREADY alive. I thought it was kinda funny.

It might not be pretty, you might not agree with everything there, but I love the fact that such a place, exposing the-not-so-pretty facts of life, politics and death, exists.

Rotten is pretty nasty, and I cant look at very many things on that site. I'm not sure if I would say that I like the fact that it does exist, as much as liking the fact that it's allowed to exist

I do, when it happens to people I don't like. I love assassinations, and think there should be more of them.

Me too. Enjoying someone else's pain seems wrong to me.

I agree with stormy. Assassinations are great. Watching people die that need to is also great fun. Sometimes funny, depending on how they die.

I used to look through Rotten.com every now and then. It really grossed me out, but I couldn't stop looking at it.

Then out of morbid curiosity I downloaded and watched the video of Daniel Pearl being beheaded by his captives, about a day or two after it made news.

It didn't seem that disturbing when I was watching it, but the effect lingered and grew. I haven't looked at Rotten.com or anything similar since that time.

Good point. Contrast this with the glamorous tv commercials for the US Army where they implicitly suggest the coolness of serving in the "Army of One".

They should be compelled to show the dark side i.e. where you die in a far off place and your body is dragged through the streets before being hung up on a bridge.

If you're tired of rotten.com, try www.ratemypoo.com. You might find that amusing for a while.
