You know how a package may have a message during emerge telling you that it is important that you shoudl do something after installing the package? Well, those fly right by when doing an emerge world. How do I find them again? Are they in the ebuild somewhere?
It would be cool if those were saved somewhere during the emerge.

in /etc/make.conf

PORT_LOGDIR=/var/log/portage


Code:
# mkdir /var/log/portage
# chown portage.portage /var/log/portage


Now all packages have logs stored in /var/log/portage but note that these will consume a fair bit of space after running for some time.
