Hello
are there any binaries of a kde version (older version is good too) which can be installed before i install the new kde.
I installed the new kde using an older kde at the same time ... (just set the nice options) ... ... but now i have a clean gentoo box ... are there any binaries ... if yes please tell me how to install ...
thanks

I've made binaries of the lastest KDE (3.1.1a) during my install - compiled with -march=athlon-xp -O2 -fomit-frame-pointer -pipe
If you want them they are yours...
emerge -k kde should do it, provided you put the packages in /usr/portage/packages/<insert correct subdir here>/ |

Just place them in ' /usr/portage/packages/All/ ' and it works fine. |
