linux newbie guide

could someone point me to some linux newbie guides online (besides tldp)? I have gentoo installed with fluxbox and it is working fine but i have a lot of general questions (how do i tell what processes are running, how do i setup sound, how do i change the time, how do i get my mousewheel to work, etc.) and i would like to learn the basics of linux.

You also may want to try the links in the articles and documentation sections of the gentoo web site. Some of the links go to IBM. I have found the LPI certification exam preps at [url]ibm.com/developerWorks[/url] to be very useful for the type of information you are looking for.

Go and look at http://www.icon.co.za/~psheer/book/rute.html.gz - it's an excellent and wide-ranging handbook on linux/unix.
