Salve gente, ho da poco terminato di configurare al 99% il mio nuovo portatile IBM ThinkPad r40e.
Tutto è andato a buon fine.
I problemi sono solo due,
1) che ricompilando il demone slmodemd (del driver del modem chiamato slmodem-2.9.9) con il supporto alsa, e lanciando lo stesso abilitando alsa, riposrto il seguente errore:

 # slmodemd --alsa
 error: alsa setup: cannot open playback device 'hw:1': Noch such file or directory: error: cannot setup device 'hw:1'

Non so che fare...Spero che qualcuno mi sappia aiutare...

2) Sempre riguardo al modem, nel 70% dei casi in cui provo aconnettermi, naturalmente utilizzando li script di gentoo (net.ppp0), aspettando la connessione con un tail -f sul main log, la connessione non inizia e il pppd riporta l'errore di NO DIALTONE, visto che leggendo nel README dei driver è espressamente scritto di disabilitare il carrier chech, come devo fare per disabilitarlo col semplice pppd di gentoo?
