Hi,
I am using kernel 2.6.7-gentoo-r6.
I am working with LyX 1.3.4 and i am trying to fix a problem, not been able to see \Gamma, \Psi in my LyX preview.
I had try to do whats in the FAQ in LyX site and it didnt work.
So far what have i done: Quote: |
1. I had download latex-xft-fonts-0.1 and placed it under /root/.fonts and under /usr/share/fonts/latex-xft-fonts.
2. I had added path /usr/share/fonts/latex-xft-fonts to my XFree86-4 file.
3. I had run fc-cache -fv when i was at both directories. |
At the mean time I cant see big gamma on my LyX screan, only in the pdf file.
Do i need to do something else for adding fonts in Gentoo?
Thanks |

Do you use xfs (x-font-server)? Then you need to add the fontpath to the xfs-configuration file: /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config
and restart xfs Code: | /etc/init.d/xfs restart |
see 'man xfs' for more information _________________ "I'm an angel bored like hell

Hi finn,
I am not a Gentoo guro, like you can see, so when i ran fc-cache -fv, i saw that the program also looking in /root/.fonts directory so i placed the files also there.
I dont run LyX as a root. |
