I was playing warcraft on winex the other day, and I got Im'd (I forgot to put on an away message ) and I couldn't get back into the game! Is there a way to get back in? Thanks.
PS. I tried alt-tabbing like in windows and it circulated amongst all my programs that have windows EXCEPT warcraft. _________________ Matthew Hauck

I actually haven't got a clue how to do this, but perhaps it would help if you told us what window manager you were using since they respond to alt-tabs differently. _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..

I don't think alt-tabbing will work with fluxbox because many games don't actually exist in a window. A good example of this is BillardGL. It draws a picture on the screen that is alt-tabbed to the background in KDE. You can then bring it to the front by clicking on the background. Perhaps if you played Warcraft in KDE it would work? _________________ if i never try anything, i never learn anything..

ctrl-alt-f1 (or f2, f3 etc.) will take you to the correspoding console window. Might that be what you are looking for? _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

Nah I knew that. I was just wondering this: if I start game of warcraft with winex and I get pulled out of it (i.e. as in by an instant message), can I get back into it. _________________ Matthew Hauck

I guess I'm not understanding what is happening. Perhaps it is an oddity with winex. For me, alt-tabbing takes me to the next window. There is an option that determines if tabbed-to windows are active or not after the tabbing. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

this will create it in a window you can alt+tab too, but might give you issues w/ a task bar or something. _________________ YEAH!!!!! -- Lil Jon |

I had a similar problem running Q3. My solution is to start a new X (X :1) and run the game there. Now I can switch back and forth using ctrl+alt+f6/7 |
