SUNWvts equivalent for Linux?

Does anyone know of an SUNWvts equivalent for Linux?

I would like to run Gentoo on my U60 that I am currently piecing together. However, I am keeping Solaris on it as I build it (add more RAM, processers, etc) so that I can run SUNWvts to "burn-in" and test all hardware that I buy.

FYI: For those not familiar with SUNWvts, it is a diagnostic type program that runs continuously (until stopped) to check all hardware for errors. This program also essentially takes up all available RAM and processor time to burn-in a machine.
