I always solve programming problems in my dreams, most of the time they go like this :

I'm sitting at a teletype in a white room typing my program and it works. WHen I wake up I remember what i did and go do it for real.

I havn't had any programming dreams, but I have had a few schoolwork related dreams (mostly physics, being what I'm studying).

Here is something strange. My name has an even number of letters, not odd in is its self, but my name + middle name does too, and same for my brother. Apprently my mom likes even numbers (I never even noticed that my name has an even number of letters). And I thought I was neurotic.

When you say you have to do something, because of some reason in your head, that is false. You have the ability to do anything, and you are blocking yourself from it. Why do people do this? Because it removes the blame from them and gives them an excuse.

Does changing yourself for the better mean you loose your personality?
No! It just means you don't let yourself get in the way of yourself.

well, I don't think its a personality disorder, but I get really pissed off at my dad when he calls me from all the way downstairs to do something stupid like "fix the sound on your mothers computer" and all I need to do is turn on the speakers, or "do a backup of the business files" when all it takes is opening up and explorer file and dragging the contents onto the cd, it takes longer for him to yell to me than it does to actually do the task, I would be fine with this, and simply say "well some people just don't get technical things (not that its very technical)" but I'm talking about a guy who used to buy computers in the late 80's set them up, upgrade them, create a number of batch files, then sell them for a profit, he even got into building his own computers for a while, AND he was a hacker at one point...I just can't deal with the fact that he's too stupid to press the power button on the speaker, I refuse to believe hes incapable, I refuse.

What about when you're mom calls you from work, 30 min. away, and says...come out here I need you to fix the printer. Then since you don't know how to use the program, she walks you through how to do it.

So what about the number 4? It's a power of two and in between two primes.

I can't stand it when my sister (7 or something...) tries to show me a "funny" cartoon she found on a little kid site that is horribly boring. Or asks my e-mail address again. Or asks me to fix an e-mail/internet problem and starts crying when I don't want to.

My mom always asks me to "get back" an e-mail that she took a few hours writing then minimised. Also, whenever my bro "forgets" to close a game on the computer or doesn't boot back into windows from Debian (he plays some games with it), I need to get it back so my mom can use it. My dad only uses a comp at work, and there he has lots of computer people to annoy instead of me .

Luckily I have my own compuer with Gentoo on it :)

Don't you think we should limit this discussion to integers? adding decimals into the mix makes for alot of extra possiblities that need not be complex...

For example, pi:

3.14259.... yadayadayada. I forget the rest... it's annoying.

I have a mathematical disorder. I've been doing it for several years now and...can't really help it.

I like to count the odd numbers on car plates.

I've been told I'm stubborn and bipolar, and I don't dispute that. I'm too stubborn to take medication for it, but I still manage to get everything done well and am generally in a good mood.

Geez, you've been on the Gentoo Forums forever. This was my first post, and it wasn't a very good first impression. I'm glad I've reduced the number of stupid mistakes like that in my Linux-ing.

Well, apart from Asperger's de_Logics also seems to dabble in the occult - even if necrothreading is only a mild form occultism.

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw this pop up.

Strange, so you make the same mistakes I make?

Dear reader, please insert an "of" in my above post.
