I don't hate stupid people, but I hate people who refuse to think. They're the reason I have a nailbat.

I stronly prefer powers of two.

Omg, I thought I was the only one! But I'm controlling myself. Now I only keep the personality disorders that actually are important.

I went through an intensive Slashdot period a short time ago. Now, whenever I read some comment, be it online or in a (dead-tree) newspaper, I feel a strong desire to mod the author up or down.

when at work I make sure all the tickets are in order and figure out what the gaps add up to, if any.

::nod::

I count sheep in hex when I can't sleep.

It also bothers me when I don't have exactly one open port on my ethernet switches. >1 I'm wasting connectivity! I need more machines! <1 I don't have any open ports! What if I want to hook something else up?

Had this problem, but solved it when I installed a minibox in my bathroom. So no more worries about missing anything

i hate even numbers. i don't even like the number 2 even though it's prime.

the cd player in my car has a volume scale that is not related to dB.
i turn the volume to a level where the sum of all ciphers is divisible by 3, 6 or 9.
its most fun when its divisible by 9. i don't know why!

I have many habits that people cant stand about me, mainly things i cant stand about other people. I cant stand when people are ignorant to the 1024vs1000 type deal, i cannot stand when people try to sound like they know what they are talking about and do not, and that does not even get me so mad its when they fail at doing so.

i have no problem with having my volume set at a correct number or such. I dislike when people are stubborn about things and i also very much so dislike when people do not type with the home row keys properly... i cannot stand when people are not efficiant with the keybaord using keyboard shortcuts and saving time like that. i can go on about things that get me irratated and habits i've not yet learned to deal with.

i've become so accustomed to sitting infront of my computer at times i begin to forget how to act in public.

Wow, this is amazing -- it's like you're all writing about me!

Also I love numbers ending in 1 and hate numbers ending in 0.
And I hate the word "dish".

if you had that big a problem with the word dish you wouldn't write it. This thread make me sad because people don't realize they can change the way they think

OK then I don't have "that big" a problem... but I still don't like that word.
Maybe we can change... but why?

Well, when specifying transparency <edit> or color </edit> in apps that don't mask byte-size values with percentages, It's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY (to me) to have that value set to either a power of 2 or an intermediate value (usually half-way between powers) here's the numbers I use the most (in binary and decimal):

Code:

100        4
1000       8
10000      16
100000     32
110000     48
1000000    64
1001000    72
1100000    96
10000000   128
10100000   160
11000000   192
11100000   234
11111111   255

ugh, suddenly I feel really strange...

Hm... I don't really have a problem with numbers - but whenever I look at a digital clock, I have the need to pronounce it (or at least murmur it) in leetspeak...

My problem is dreams. Has anyone ever dreamt that they are a Lisp function? A Lisp function that evaluates its own syntax tree? And you can't wake up because there is a bug in you? That particular nightmare scared me for weeks.

Uhh, no but for a while I had to evaluate all conditional situations in my head in C++

I did have a programming dream a long while ago, I couldn't solve a problem and every time I got it wrong it hurt, and I couldn't fix it, then I woke up with some terrible cramps. I had a similar dream involving swords too... hehe
