I have a bit of a reverse seasonal affective disorder also, I don't care much for the summer, and I love the winter.

I was born via cesection (no clue how to spell it), my umbilical cord was tied in a knot and all air was cut off to me...

I have a habit of having to reply to things when someone opposes my view.

I am extremely ticklish and will practically black out if you tickle me.

I have several phobias including emetophobia, arachnophobia, partial acrophobia.

I am a major introvert, but when forced into social situations (damn you school), I may go completely nuts and start blurting out random crap (for instance, my world history teacher asked what religion Zheng He was, and the first thing I blurted out was "Satan Worshipper")

I can only work at night, I have been trying to block light out of my room during the daytime so I can work during the day.

I have a pre-disposition depression.

I can't stand people touching my stuff, whenever I get up from my computer at a LAN, I lock my screen.

I have the inability to take things "with a grain of salt".

I am a heavy procrastinator, and I either waste all my time or work until I fall over from exhaustion.

I'm sure there is more, just the stuff off the top of my head.

Apart from the fact that I wasn't born by cesarian section, we're pretty much identical.

Now, if you tell me that you're also deeply in love with a wonderfully intelligent and cute beautiful dark-haried girl, but you haven't mustered up the courage to do something about it yet, you'll scare me ;)

Nah, that's nowhere near the worst thing that can happen.

The worst thing would be if she ended up hating me.

No, you're wrong. At least when a girl hates you, you don't have to talk to her :D

But I like talking to her. She is very intelligent and always wonderful company, no matter what.

I wouldn't say that we've begun dating, but we do go out sometimes, have a slice of pizza or some ice cream and just talk about people we've met, things we've done and seen and generally just about really. Last time, we talked for 45 minutes or so about the socioeconomic situation in eastern europe, and how the rest of the EU can help them get up to speed with the rest of us. Like I said, she is very intelligent, and very interested in the world around us.

A lot of the time, we just end up saying nothing at all, and we just sit there doing absolutely nothing for like 5 to 10 minutes at a time. And that's what's so wonderful about her. We understand each other quite well, though she's much more outgoing than me and such. We have a pretty good idea about what each other is thinking, so some times, we just silently agree on things.

Such is the mind of the woman. They can have someone perfect for them. And just consider them friends and date the biggest assholes ever.

That's one hell of a book. It's a classic! A MUST-HAVE for people in the field, mainly because it manages to communicate transparently some of the most peculiar CNS disfunctions in layman's terms. I really enjoyed it... and still take a look or two for fun's and relax sake.

_an Anthropologist on Mars_ by the same Author i would also highly recommend, if you like _The Man... _

then there is this other sacks book i read recently about dreaming... blew my mind...

You are so sweet. I hope this girl takes you seriously (and you take her seriously too). Not all women drop the good guys for the assholes. At least in my experiences, it is the other way around

Aww, thanks :)

I know she takes me seriously at some level, since it was her who took contact with me again after we hadn't seen each other for 1½ years or so.

And I do take her very seriously. She is by far the most wonderful person I have ever met, and her friendship (and love?) is something I value very, very highly.

The right situation for it hasn't really come up yet, but I have a feeling it will soon.

I really dislike people who talk just to hear themselves talk. I guess it makes them feel more important in their mind.

Also people who slam on something yet have no actual facts to back it up.

Does schizophrenia count as geeky? I'll bet it does when the voices I hear are working out new algorithms to various problems (connectivity, shell sort sequences, etc.)
