Hi People
Did anybody have sucsess with this. I am running R5 without a problem with winex. But R6 doesn't want to install. Tryed all the other stuff to get R5 working and still no luck
The inotes only work with IE5 or IE6. So no help there
I know IBM is doing alot of good for linux. Bring Domino to Linux. But what about a notes client ? When theys started talking about inotes there was hope. But now it is only IE This is a big shame
Thanks for any info

Not used it, but just chipping in to say that wouldn't it be better to use wine, rather than winex? It's generally better for productivity applications and better tested in that department. Surely you don't need DirectX 6/7 for the software?
I agree about the absence of a client. It's unfortunate, you'd think someone with their collossal budget wouldn't be so against taking a risk or two in that department ... (as the Dr. Pepper slogan goes: "what's the worst that could happen?") |

About Lotus Notes 6 on Wine, where's what I know by experience.
Lotus Notes 6 Final doesn't work whith wine so far. Something to do whith ntaskdlr.exe. So if you try to run a Notes 6 Final pre-installed on wine you'll get Fatal error null pointer, red box on notes login.
The only Note 6 that runs is pre-release 2.
About runing Notes on winex. Why winex? _________________ The road to Perfection is too rocky ! Consider Linux as home delivery service. |
