|
|
Hi,
I realise this is probably a very simple question, but all the Linux manuals I read give me different answers:
Firstly, I need to set up fetchmail so that it runs in the background when I certain user logs in. It's only the one user this needs to happen for, so which file to I append to?
Also, I need to set the $MAIL variable for this particular user account, so that the WindowMaker dockapp I use can find my mail box. In case it's important, KDM comes up when my PC boots up, and I use the Waimea window manager.
For some reason I just can't figure this out ... So someone please help me!
Thanks in advance,
tom. |

Only one problem, .bashrc gets executed everytime you bring up a new gnome-terminal.
Any other suggestions? I need something similar to happen everytime I login to my machine as well. |
