1. Every time I exit GNOME my gnome-panel crashes. When I try to restart the computer from GNOME it won't work because of this. I tried remerging gnome-panel but no help. Any ideas?

2. My gnome-terminal only shows bash-2.05a$. I checked and my .bashrc and .bash_profile look fine. I even recopied them from /etc/skel to make sure. Any ideas?

Almost forgot one more:

3. The tabs in my Nautilus sidebar have really small fonts. Raising the font sizes in desktop prefernces didn't help and I can't find anything in the Nautilus preferences. It's really annoying...

First, no idea on the panel, sorry

Second, you want a logon shell. In gnome-terminal, this is handled through the profile. Edit>Current Profile, then make this your default profile.

I did Edit->Current Profile and everything was set to default, and Default is my Default profile. Still no dice. However I notice what is normally displayed where the bash2.05a$ is in a normal terminal or an Eterm is displayed as the title of the window. Maybe this is a new "feature"?
