Hi all!
I have installed Gentoo 2006.0 on Alpha 164LX with Xorg and KDE, but a can not to run X.
When i type startx, screens go black and must to reset the machine. I can not to get control again.
I have configured Xorg how said documentation. I have checked /dev/input/mice and work fine. I have used xorgconfig and xorgcfg -textmode for configure Xorg, but it not work. ??
Has anybody a similar problem?

I can't say that I do have this problem. What type of video card do you have in the machine? Do you have DRI enabled? FrameBuffer?
Are you able to ssh to the machine one the screen goes black and see anything in /var/log/Xorg.0.log ? |
