when i crt^c out of an app (kwrite), a few second later this pops up on my aterm..
prompt> Mutex destroy failure: Device or resource busy
ICE default IO error handler doing an , pid = 11671, errno =0
however, ps -x reveas no such process. I'm guessing the kwrite app is not exiting properly and some ish is left over..?
how can i get rid of this..?
im using getoo2.4.25-r1 _________________ "In times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a *revolutionary act" - George Orwell.

Are you running KDE? I believe it's due to KDE apps ability to communicate with KDE (DCOP). So if you are running a kde app but within a different enviroment (gnome, xfce, etc) then those extentions spit out errors. Also if you log into X as another user but then run an app as root you will see this error regardless if you have KDE running or not, since the application is attempting to communicate with root's KDE desktop.
The error is completely harmless. I have not clue how to get rid of the error though, sorry.
I could be completely wrong about this, so feel free to correct me.
EDIT: One quick note, I was getting errors about the kiconloader, related to different icon themes. So I ran 'kdebugdialog --fullmode'. Then choose number 264 kdecore (KIconLoader). Set Warning output to None instead of console. This got rid of the warnings. You may be able to find an equivalent somewhere in there. I looked and was unable to find anything iceauth or dcop related. |

Thanks, Sorry I should have given more info:
I'm running fluxbox, translucent aterms.
I do use some kde apps, I used to have KDE, but not now.
when it hapened i as loggedin as root, startx from console, i exec 3 scripts, one for network, one for background, one for prompt settings.
anyways, i exe kwrite from the command line of fluxbox menu.
What you said makes sense though..Thanks!!! = ] _________________ "In times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a *revolutionary act" - George Orwell.
