gnome applications in kde don't pick up themes

I'm trying to launch eclipse either form a desktop shortcut or from the command line while in KDE and when it launches it has the default gtk2 theme. If I then start gnome-control-center and go to the themes part it right away picks up theme without me even changing it. Things started from the K menu like gaim are fine, however. Anything I can do about this?
