I've dug the patches from Redhat out of the RPMS for the new kicker "docklet". This allows for any app that has an applet that conforms to the freedesktop.org specs to dock in KDE (i.e., Gaim CVS).

The bugzilla posting is here https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9854. I've simply posted patches against the current KDE-3.1-beta2 ebuilds, along with the Redhat patches.

I've used these ebuilds on several of my own machines with great results...
