Bonjour,

j'ai installé gentoo2004.1 avec le noyaux 2.6 mais apres la configuration de XFree et lancement de startx il me donne ce message d'erreur (comme-ci il ne trouve pas l'ecran) apres plusieurs tentative toujours la meme erreur

voila ce que j'obtien avec les driver 6106 en passant par sh nvidia****.run et apres lancement de startx j'obtien bien le logo nvidia mais apres crash dont voici le fichier log
(sinon oui j'ai bien fait emerge nvidia-kernel et emerge nvidia-glx et opengl-update nvidia)

Essaye avec un noyau 2.6.5 pour voir si ça marche, j'ai jamais réussi a le faire marcher avec un 2.6.7

non pas cela, j'ai passé pas mal de temps pour avoir le noyaux 2.6.7 et en plus j'ai meme reussi à faire marché mon modem usb, sinon j'avais l'interface graphique avec le noyaux 2.4

sinon mon matos c'est asus 266-c (nforce 1) carte graphique leadtek geforce 4200 ti

J'utilise un noyau 2.6.7, les derniers drivers nvidia 6106, j'ai une carte mère abit avec nforce2, acpi activée, j'utilise xfree etc... et pas de souci à ce niveau là (enfin depuis 5 jours j'en ai petit, pas moyen de passer les applis opengl en fullscreen, mais ça ne me le faisait pas avant et comme j'ai pas rebooté depuis 20 jours j'ai du faire une modif qui va pas).
En tout cas le problème amha ne vient pas de là.

Que renvoi un cat /proc/drivers/nvidia/status par exemple ?

pour l'instant je ne suis pas chez moi je ferais un teste ce soir

sinon n'y aurait il pas conflit avec la premiere install de nvidia (sans passer par le sh nvidia*.run)? ou peut etre la souris?

sinon comment d'esinstaller un emerge (emerge nvidia-kernel et nvidia-glx)
car lors de la deuxieme install des 6106 avec nvidia*.run il m'a affiché qu' il y avait deja une install par une autre methode et qu'il fallait tout enlever mais apres le message il a quand meme installé les driver

je signal je suis newbs en gentoo

Pour désinstaller un paquet il faut faire : emerge unmerge paquet
Logiquement il n'y a pas conflit entre les 2 install, vu que la dernière qui est faites a priori écrase la précédente.

Moi je pencherai pour un problème de configuration du fichier /etc/X11/XF86Config mais je ne pense pas que ce soit la souris, car quand c'est la souris le message est relativement explicite.

Souvent j'ai des problèmes avec les pilotes d'nvidia et les emerge.
Le .run marche mieux chez moi.
Pour info avec les 6106 il n'est pas nécessaire de faire un emerge nvidia-glx. C'est regroupé dans le -kernel.

Si tu veux desinstaller c'est emerge -C ou avec le .run sh NV* --uninstall

En effet il y a un beau "no core pointer found" la pluspart du temps.

bon apres essaye ce soir les emerge rappatrie en fait la version 45 des drivers nvidia et non les 6106.

desinstall des emerge et install avec .run des 6106.

lancement de startx---> logo nvidia ---> puis ecran noir avec la croix de la souris, mais figer.

rebelotte avec cette fois ma souris en imps au lieu de intellimouse.

et si tu fais des click gauche/droit/mileu t'uarai pas un menu qui apparaitrai par hazard ??

startx ne lance que le serveur , pas de gestionnaire de login (xdm / kdm etc)

en fait j'ai la croix qui se transforme en petit carrér avec des lignes en horizontal (je dit bien la croix) qui pourais etre aufond un emnu comme tu dis

:oops: la honte tu as raison lorsque je fait un click milieu il m'affcihe bien un menu et je lance bien un xterm, seul hic il a falu que je change ma souris sur /dev/usbmouse alors qu'avant elle etait sur /dev/mouse.

sinon la fentere ce lance mais il faut que je click pour qu'elle s'affiche convenablement et reste sur la meme place.

bon mon install avance maintenant au tour de KDE :twisted:

Pour avoir kde qui se lance lorsque tu fais startx il faut modifier XSESSION="kde-version" dans /etc/rc.conf
