I am trying to do a reinstall (new hard drives) of an Ultra 30. When I get to the step of updating the system (emerge -u system) it starts, but now it's hit a road block where it wants to update automake but can't because it needs a newer version of autoconf. When I try to update autoconf, it says it needs a newer version of automake.
What steps do I need to take to get around this and what additional information should I provide here?
-Thank you-

Ahh... Here we go... I think I've happened on to at least part of the problem... After trying to update some individual packages and running into little roadblocks here and there, I finally managed to get zlib updated overnight.
Now, after running (which failed previously because of zlib), I now get a message Quote: | Your current profile is deprecated and not supported anymore. | There's more to the message, but I think that's the key part. I'm going to run the instructions it lists there and see where that leads me.
