I want to install gentoo on various systems ranging from a P1 to an Athlon XP.
I figure the best way to do this is to mirror the latest gentoo files locally on a server and install from that machine.
Is that the best way to achieve this?
If so, how do I mirror gentoo?
I did find the page about mirroring the portage tree, is that all I need to do?
How big would a total mirror of gentoo be?
Thanks

A P1 will take a while to compile. You might consider using a faster machine to compile binaries for it using the emerge -b option.
In case it isn't what you found, Gentoo Linux Mirroring Guide might be helpful. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |
