I just emerge jabberd
then I use this command to start the server

Code:

/etc/init.d/jabber start

and it give me this message

root@Gentoo wxd # /etc/init.d/jabber start
* Starting main Jabber Component... [ ok ]
root@Gentoo wxd #

my problem is how can I configure the server
and what can I do to use the server
