Hey,
I was tinkering around with my PS1 command and I guess I had a syntax error in it somewhere because now I can't seem to boot!
Is there anyway to reset or access the file because as it is my shell won't load due to the syntax error!
Thanks for any help! |

Boot with your install CD and mount your partition and modify your PS1.
What is the error when you try to load gentoo ??
Maybe its not PS1. |

A messed up PS1 shouldn't prevent you from booting; from logging in perhaps. What is the error? _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

I probably wasnt clear, but its fixed now.
I had a " instead of a ' at the end of the PS1 line, which caused the shell to not load.
Thanks again for the help.
(PS. thats what I was thinking I had to do but it was a lot of work since i only have a cdrom in my windows comp) |
