OK, this may sound like a stupid question, but this really happens. The first logical thing to check is that it is connected properly (which it is). I worked with 2.4.18 kernel. But since I upgraded to 2.4.19, it does this. I am not sure if it is a conincidence or something else.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
Thanks! |

Have you checked for any hdd activity? Fire up gkrellm to check if anything is in use?
The problem is usually located with CDRW with a combo of HDD/DVD-ROM/CDROM. I use to get this some years ago and it was down to the CDRW problem. (Nothing physically serious, just the hdd led always seems to be on).
I can't think of anything else for the time being.
