I just watch the basketball games. I am rooting for the USA team to lose. They are just a bunch of fucking pricks and losers--except for Tim Duncan, Dejaun Wagner, Carmelo Anthony, Omeka Okefur, and Lebron James.

i think those romanian gymnasts are quite sexy... especially the girl with the surname like ruso or something like that. i guess being an acrobatic athlete myself (springboard diving) attracts me to other athletes of the same genre...

also, well done to the british horses!

and to the british swimmer who came third (im terrible with names). he only just scraped into the semi-final. he then, after winning the semi-final, beating the world champion, said to the presenter that he went away after the heat in the morning and said that he gave himself a right talking to! this made him apparently swim faster that afternoon for the semi to beat the world champ. i didnt see the final, but i did see the interview after and he speaks very well, not like most swimmers i know... what a great ambassador for great britain! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Well,Andy Roddick is out and so is Venus Williams.
Roddick lost to Fernando Gonzalez of Chile, 6-4, 6-4. Williams lost by the same score to France's Mary Pierce.

Too bad about the Australian basketball team, it was a nice game, but it is nice to see the underdog win.

This is beginning to look like another olympic fiasco for Sweden.

Things are beginning to look a little bit better now. The 1992 Olympic Champion J-O Waldner has reached the table tennis semi finals and Carolina Klüft has not disappointed us. Only a complete failure to get a valid long jump can stop her from winning.

The men's triple jump had some really great jumps in the qualification. Can't wait till Sunday.

Oh, and our women's football team has also reached the semi finals, but I don't think they have a chance against Brazil.

Finally some medals! :D

Gold in the heptathlon by a fabulous margin of 517 points. What a girl!

And a bronze for the women's 470. Scrap that comment about olympic fiasco I made earlier. More to come tomorrow, I hope.

Oh yeah!

Two more golds tonight. :D

Stefan Holm made a fantastic come back after taking 2.34 in the third attempt. He cruised over 2.36 in the first, stunning the three competitors still in the race.

Christian Olsson was never really challenged.

Woohoo. Fantastic 24 hours for New Zealand picking up 2 gold medals. Sarah Ulmer winning the Women's Pursuit and the Ever-Swindell twins winning the Women's Double Sculls. Roll on our other champions in the triathlon and kayaking and this should be a pretty good Olympics for us :D

What a way to start the day! Gold in flatwater kayaking, men's K2 1000m. Possibly we can get two more medals, in horse jumping and women's long jump, but I won't be too disappointed if we don't get any more. Unless it's another fourth place, of course. Far too many of those in these games.
