Hello!
Jeg ber dem unnskylde dette ikke i norsk. Jeg er ikke saa god i snakke norsk ennaa.
I hope someone can hjelpe meg, though
I would like to know how to install the norwegian language, or any other language for that matter on gentoo, and into kde. I have relatives in norway, and I am learning norwegian right now, so I would like to see and write the extra characters when we correspond with each other.
Is there someone here that knows how to do this?
It would be a big help!
Takk! _________________ --Hamking |

Hehe, i love alicja janosz so i made my english gentoo to polish on my laptop!
You should follow a how-to on gentoo wiki site, google for it and search on the site how you can make your installation to another language. _________________ MOBO: Maximus II Gene

This is the options I have :
In the Kernel: (Not shure if need this) Code: | File systems ---> Native Language Support --->
<*> Codepage 865 (Norwegian, Danish)
<*> NLS ISO 8859-1 (Latin 1; Western European Languages |
In /etc/rc.conf
(This is the keymap)
Code: | CONSOLEFONT="lat0-16" | (This is the characters)
KDE:
Code: | LINGUAS="nb" emerge kde-i18n |
If you have a Norwegian keyboard and want to use the "wierd" letters you can add this in your xorg/XFree86 conf:
Code: | Option "XkbLayout" "no" |
You can also look at this post.
Good luck learning Norwegian. |
