Kde Crash on Nvidia Screen(screen fizzle)

ok when i use the normal driver all is ok but here what i done
emerge nvidia-glx
emerge nvidia-kernel
remove the comment ( # ) before the GLX line in my XF86Config
and changed the driver from "nv" to "nvidia" in my XF86Config video driver section.

i tried all thew nvidia driver
i have a Asus Gforce 3 64 mg ddr ram

and iam using kde3.1 beta2
is that a glx problem?
2 day ago i did a full reinstallation, before tht i was using kde3.0.1 and the driver was working perfectly, now when i enable glx and switch to nvdriver my kde start then when the Nvidia White screen aprear the logo is all fucked up and my system is crash (cant switch between session or shut down the x with ctrl+alt+backspace).
please help me

yes i did it, and it automatiquely done when you emerge nvidia-glx

ok i did some things and i found more info on the problem.
i did a complete emerge kde in case it the probleme but as i found earlier i got the same problem when i try to open fluxbox with the nvidia driver, so it probably not a kde problem.
then i unmerge nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel.
i completely recompile a new kernel and did a completely new XF86Config based on a working system.
i reemerge the nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx and give it a try
poof same problem.
then i decided to take the bus and buy a big hammer and slam my monitor 2 or 3 time, it cost me 300$ for a new monitor and didnt solve my problem.
so i decide to try some other thing and didnt find the trouble at this point.
so here what i found so far.

if i start kde or fluxbox without the GLX and with the nv driver it work fine
if i start kde or fluxbox with GLX and nvdriver it crash at the Nvidia Screen.
if i start kde or fluxbox with the nvdriver without GLX it work fine but no opengl.

so GLX is probably the problem, or maybe it X i dunno.
if i do an emerge --pretend x11 i got this

[ebuild R ] x11-base/xfree-4.2.0-r12 to /

if i do an emerge --pretend kde i got this

[ebuild R ] kde-base/kde-3.1_beta2 to /

an emerge --pretend nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel

[ebuild R ] media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.3123 to /
[ebuild R ] media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.3123 to /

I need help

ok guys i found something else

i was using nvdriver without GLX
all was working fine until i tried to switch session (ctrl+alt+f2)
when i did it all the system crash wth my nice desktop all glitched
when i switch session with the nv driver all is working fine.

ok i did a full reinstallation just like what i have the last time kde 3.0.1 and my old kernel the only thing i kept is the ReiserFS file system and i still have the same problem.
do you think reiserfs can do a thing like that?
iam at work now and in 2 hours i will be at home, if no one posted an anwser when i arive at home i will redo a full install with ext3, this way i will know if reiserfs is the problem

ok this is the 3rd time i did a full reinstall this time my root is ext3 here is what i did
i install all the base system with a stage 3 tarball for amd-xp then emerge fluxbox
i tried fluxbox and everything went fine then i emerge nvidia-glx and nvidia-kernel
opengl-update
modprobe NVdriver
i remove the comment from load GLX and changed the nv to nvidia
startx
and *skwik*
so what iam doing wrong?
this is really driving me crazy the first time i installed gentoo all was fine then i decided to switch to ReiserFS and now i cant load my nvidia driver

please someone help me i dont know what to do i have read all the documentation related to nvidia driver and nothing is related to my problem

The only time I've seen something like this happen is when I've had framebuffer support compiled into the kernel and tried to jump between virtual consoles and X. As you don't seem to have Frame Buffer support installed, that's a nil. At least we've covered that.

tonight i will try a new kernel compiled with vanilla-source from kernel.org
if it not working i will try the kernel from the cd because the nvidia driver is working fine when i play ut2003 on the boot cd anyone know where i can find the config file for this kernel?

Just to tell you that i use NVIDIA and have no problems, except that we can't install it on 2.5 kernel

the problem was my kernel i did an emerge sys-kernel/vanillasources
then i made a new kernel with the vanilla source.
reboot, emerge nvidia-kernel emerge nvidia-glx startx tadam!
