What is the best graphics card supported under linux for 3D

Nvidia dual-head support for linux is horrible. I just tried to upgrade from my old radeon 7500 to a geforce and decided to go back because the radeon "works" and the geforce doesn't.

Nvidia:
-With twinview 3d works great but you don't get any XV scaling.
-With xinerama you get 3d and XV scaling only on the primary display
-DPMS doesnt work in either mode so I have to turn off my moniters when I leave.

Radeon:
-everything just works!!!

Anyone know why nvidia cannot get decent twinview support??
