Hello,
Does anyone know a good X program to record sound from microphone that works with ALSA?

A good program? No. But I know a bunch of mediocre ones:
Audacity
Sound Recorder
Gnoise
Wavesurver
Sweep
SoundTracker
GNUSound
I have always used Gnoise, which seems to give the best sound quality. Many of the other programs seem better at first, but the recording quality is very poor. I have never been able to figure out why this is. |
