Hello Community.
I have a problem with the gentoo-fdisk. Fdisk get wrong heads/sectors and cylinders for the disk.
Thats the wrong values:
1.3GB
Heads: 17 - Sectors: 80- Cylinders 1965
Thats the right values on solaris 10:
20GB
Heads: 16 - Sectors:63 - Cylinders 38790
I changed this values manual without any positive effects.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced and sorryfor my bad english.
Cheers

Try looking at the help file, it may be that you need to pass some special paramaters to fdisk for it to read your drive properly.
Also, if your drive requires special drivers, it will report it's stats improperly unless the module is loaded. Check into it.
Hope that helps. _________________ "I'm feeling HAPPY, I'M FEELING HAPPY" *thunk* |
