|

I"m desperatly searching for someway to use Xchat2 and have access to ports 59 and 113. I've heard some things about a possible DCCSErver hack for Xchat but i'm newb to linux when its not gentoo ;D. I have no idea how to easily patch source code and install a program. Could someone tell me either how I can bind to port 59 as nonroot or if there is an easy to way trick xchat2 into using /dccserver? Thanks. |

It is not possible for any program to bind to a port numbered under 1024 without root privileges, period... It can drop root privileges after it does that, but it needs them to open that port. _________________ Military Commissions Act of 2006: http://tinyurl.com/jrcto
