Ok, so I have this amazing keyboard/mouse combo from Logitech. It's the Cordless Freedom Optical Pro. I'm not one to use those extra multimedia buttons on keyboards, but I really like the thumb button on the mouse. Basically, the mouse has 6 buttons. Left, right, middle, scroll up, scroll down (last two in form of the typical wheel), and thumb. How exactly would I go about mapping the thumb button to what I want (particularly to function as a Back button)? Right now, while in Mozilla, it tries to go to the webpage that is formed from the last highlighted text.
For example, if you were to highlight "Disable BBCode i" and then click the thumb button, it would send Mozilla to: http://www.Disable BBCode i.com |

My Logitech mouse has the same buttons, and the reason both of our mice treat the thumb button that way is because a sixth button click is treated as a middle button click. Anyway, a search on this topic first led me to this thread, which was linked to this thread, which appears to have the answer, although I haven't tried it yet.
Can you post back here if you get it to work? The threads I linked to seem to be dead and I'm not sure whethere people succeeded or just gave up. |
