1) what do i need tog et divx under mplayer
2) what does this message mean. i get it on start in cerr and then mplayer exists. "mplayer: error while loading shared libraries: libm.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory" |

As I understand it mplayer will load divx4linux as a dependency.
As for the other error, I could never get the command line "mplayer" to work right on my system, so I always use gmplayer from the command line. See if that works for you, and maybe you can troubleshoot from there? |

The first thing I would do is start looking around to see if I had 'libm.so.5' at all, and where it might hide. Do a Code: | find / -iname 'libm.so*' | and see if you find
something. I only found a /lib/libm.so.6 in my system. |
