Normally links oder make menuconfigs are showing "nice" lines/frames. xterms shows it correctly:

But rxvt, Eterm or konsole (KDE Terminal, not console) only draw small boxes:

I think, I am using the same font for every terminal:
bastiaf ~ $ cat .Xdefaults
Rxvt*termName: rxvt
Rxvt*scrollBar: false
XTerm*font: -ms-andale mono-medium-*-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1
XTerm*foreground: white
XTerm*background: black
XTerm*eightBitInput: false
XTerm*metaSendsEscape: true
(Konsole uses andale mono too)
What to do, to get frames in rxvt/konsole?
Thanks for help ... |

Change the font of your term, and that will fix it |

xterm uses exact the same font and there are no problems.
The following line are used by xterm AND rxvt, therefore they should use the same font:
XTerm*font: -ms-andale mono-medium-*-normal-*-16-*-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1 |

are you going to argue, or are you going to change your font, some terms cant handle it, i have seen it befor, chaning to a different font will fix your problems.
so check your terms, and xterm and rxvt are different that is why we have them they are both termal emulatoors one may do someting different than the other
try "export TERM=xterm" in the one that is messing up or someting. but other than that pic a different font. |

Play with the options under Setup | Terminal Options. Try modifying Use ^[[11m and VT100 frames. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |
