Thanks everyone so much! I finally have KDE 3 running on my system!
Moderator, please let me know if I should post this somewhere else.
I am, however having another problem with an app I recently emerged -- "VMWare-Workstation". I've used VMWare in the past, both in other Linux environments as well as Windows, and of course own the keys I need.
Anyway, when trying to start VMWare from the Icon in the "K" menu, nothing happens. Thinking this was odd, I opened up a terminal, and typed "/opt/vmware/bin/vmware", and get this message:
Code: | VMWare Workstation Information:
There are not enough colors left for the LEDs.
Press "Enter" to continue...
|
I press Enter, and it loads. Then, I attempt to start a virtual machine, and the window resizes so it's MUCH larger than one screen. In fact, I moved the window to the left more than 20 times, trying to find the right edge of it...it keeps going! It does load my virtual machine up fine, except that all the colors are completely wrong in the machine. (lots of yellow and green).
Maybe this is a question for VMWare, or another forum, but I was just wondering, has anyone else had this problem? |
