Spent the last 3 days installing and configuring Gentoo. Damn, believe me, it is the first time using Linux has felt worthwile. A part of the feeling comes from the excellent Portage system, the other part is probably that I finally choose Gnome over KDE. Gnome rocks. Previously I have tried Redhat, Mandrake and SuSE. I liked Redhat a bit, the others not.
Now, if I could just get that soundcard and mousewheel working...
Great distro! Keep up...

what is the exact problem you're having with soundcard and mouse?
Try looking at the multimedia and desktop forums, there are LOT of solutions there (and try the gentoo documentation, is probably that you find something there, also)

They don't work. 
I'm not sure yet. Been busy installing apps, but I'll look into it very soon.

Damn, if I had payed less for this software bundle I'll owe you guys money if I can't get them to work. I guess. Might have been good motivation tho? |
