Hey everybody,
I've installed 1.2 on this laptop before with no problems but this time it freezes at boot, the message is:
Code: |
Yenta IRQ list 0498, PCI irq11
Socket Status: 30000020
Yenta IRQ list 0498, PCI irq11
Socket Status: 30000020

Ive booted the vannila kernel and the gentoo one too with exactly the same error? Is this a kernel problem? What kind of error is this?

afaik, Yenta is the cardbus controller. I don't know why it would be freezing there though... maybe the drivers were not compiled into the kernel? What kernel are you installing? |

I compiled the gentoo-sources twice, then emerged vanilla-sources but I got the same error. I forget what version the kernel is but its whichever you retrive when you sync Portage then emerge it. _________________ Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
