I installed a stage 3 tarball for a pentium mmx.
I used xfs and a gentoo-sources kernel.
When I boot I get this error:
ds:no socket drivers loaded
kmod: failed to exec /sbin/modprobe -s -k nls_iso8859-1, errno = 2
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:03 |

probably a stupid question, but did you remember to update your fstab after your initial install?? Did you set your root filesystem correctly in grub? |

Did you compile xfs support into the kernel <*> or as a <M>odule? _________________ _______________________________________
Oh how I love Linux, especially on gentoo. |
